Masquerade and all of its previous and future versions are/will be for mature players only. All 'R' rated content is stuffed inside of labeled boards so that our members know not to go into them if they cannot handle whatever content is inside. Although it is preferred that if you are younger than thirteen years of age you would do best by not signing up for Masq. or similar affiliates. Whether you register or not solely depends on your maturity level and not truly around your age. Thank you.

Masquerade reveals the true nature of deception in an RPG. When our identity is concealed, hidden behind a mask, we have the opportunity to live a lie. When lies converse, everything is distorted into false reality. But how long can the lie be kept, be held, be trusted?
It is here that our members enter a world in which they can truly become one with themselves and the character. Masquerade's offering of flexibility within its boards allows its members to roleplay as freely as they can without ever crossing any boundaries. It is this lack of stricture that enables the player to experience, in an unparalleled way, the common conception of the mastery of deceit. With the uncanny abilities in which our most valued members have for roleplaying as their characters rather than with them does not reveal at first sight what our members will turn out to be like. The colorful personalities, the widespread range of characters .. no one person can truly be themselves when roleplaying as their characters. Masquerade offers the opened window of opportunity for members and potential members alike, to enter a world of their own imagination, to enter a world where it is okay to be something your not, and to have fun doing it.

Our Staff works exceptionally hard to protect all material used and posted on Masquerade, and to make sure all material is appropriately credited to it's original owners. Rules are not strict, but they are strictly enforced to make sure that everyone on our site has a fun roleplaying experience, and in hopes of making your visit or stay a good one.
